Rising Gospel Star Wisdom Chijioke Shares the Inspiration Behind His Music and New Single “Ayeyeye”

In a time when music is more than just sound, serving as healing, encouragement, and spiritual nourishment, emerging gospel artist Wisdom Chijioke is steadily making his mark. Signed to CityBoy Records Entertainment, the talented singer and songwriter shares the divine inspiration behind his music, his latest single “Ayeyeye,” and his journey so far in the gospel music scene.

What inspired you to pursue a music career?
I got my inspiration from the Holy Spirit. I saw what God was doing in the lives of people through my songs.

What’s the story behind your new single “Ayeyeye”?
The story behind my new single, “Ayeyeye,” comes from Psalms 122:1, which says, “I was glad when I was told, ‘Let’s go to the house of the Lord.’”

Which record label are you currently signed to, and how has the experience been?
I am currently signed to CityBoy Records Entertainment. The experience has been great—so far, so good.

What do you hope listeners take away from “Ayeyeye”?
I pray that anyone who listens to “Ayeyeye” will understand the benefit of being in the presence of God. As Psalms 23 says, “Goodness and mercy shall follow them all the days of their lives.” I hope the song inspires listeners to develop a stronger interest in the gathering of believers.

Do you have any upcoming projects or collaborations you can share with us?
Yes, of course. We are working on an album, and it will be out soon to the glory of God.

Where do you see yourself in the music industry in the next five years?
I want to say this: no matter your dream, your desire, or your diligence, it is God who determines what happens eventually. We are not there yet, but I believe God will take us to the top in five years or less.

What challenges have you faced in your music journey so far?
As an upcoming artist, I have sometimes found it difficult to be heard. It takes a lot of work and dedication. There are challenges here and there, unlike established artists. But I know that very soon, by the special grace of God, I will get there.

What message do you have for your fans?
To my fans all over the world: keep hope alive. Just as the Word of God says, “I lift my eyes unto the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Your help comes from above—not from man, but from God. Look unto God, not unto man. Our focus should be on Christ, who never fails or disappoints, because humans can fail and disappoint.

Where can your fans follow you on social media?
My fans can follow me on Facebook @wisdomchijioke and on Audiomack at CityBoy Records Entertainment.
