As excitement builds for the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), set to take place this Saturday, Nollywood star Mercy Aigbe is pausing to reflect on a remarkable milestone—over 20 years of sustained impact in the film industry.
The award-winning actress and filmmaker took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post, featuring throwback photos from her first AMVCA win in 2014. Celebrating her enduring presence in Nollywood, Aigbe expressed deep gratitude for her latest nomination—Best Supporting Actress for her role in Farmer’s Bride.
“After all these years, to still be considered worthy of recognition means everything to me,” she wrote, attributing her longevity to consistency, authenticity, and the ability to reinvent herself over time.
Aigbe also extended appreciation to the Farmer’s Bride team—producers, scriptwriters, and directors—as well as her loyal fans and supporters. She described the nomination as not just a personal honor, but a shared victory with everyone who has supported her journey.
“Now let’s bring the award home by God’s special grace,” she concluded, brimming with optimism.
