In a strategic move to strengthen its foothold in Nigeria’s domestic fuel market, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has once again reduced the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol — this time from ₦835 to ₦825 per litre.
This is the third consecutive price cut in recent weeks by the 650,000 barrels-per-day facility, reflecting an ongoing push for competitive pricing. Last month, the refinery reduced prices from ₦865 to ₦835, following an earlier drop from ₦880.
Although previous reductions were slow to reflect at the pump, this latest cut underscores the refinery’s aggressive approach to market penetration and its responsiveness to public demand for more affordable fuel amid tough economic conditions.
Industry analysts view the move as a reaffirmation of Dangote Refinery’s commitment to delivering value and reshaping the country’s fuel supply landscape.
