Popular Nigerian content creator and skit maker Peller has stirred up major buzz after claiming he rejected a N3 billion offer from Netflix, all because the role required his girlfriend, Jarvis, to perform a kissing scene.
In a now-viral interview, Peller recounted being approached by what he described as “Netflix people” with a proposal to cast Jarvis in a film role that involved an intimate moment.
“They said they want to use my baby for a kissing scene,” he said passionately. “N3 billion! Not million o, N3 billion naira!”
Visibly agitated, Peller made it clear that the money meant nothing to him compared to his relationship.
“I love my baby. I’m paying her good money. I don’t like that life. I removed her from the industry for a reason,” he said, stressing his discomfort with her participating in romantic scenes.
Peller and Jarvis are one of the most recognizable couples in Nigeria’s social media comedy scene. Known for their playful skits and undeniable on-screen chemistry, the duo has built a loyal following. Jarvis often stars alongside Peller in his content, and fans have come to love their dynamic both as creative partners and as a real-life couple.
The two reportedly met through mutual friends in the content creation space and have remained inseparable ever since—romantically and professionally.
Peller’s revelation has triggered a wave of reactions on social media. While some fans praised his devotion and the way he stands by his partner, others raised eyebrows at the alleged ₦3 billion figure—questioning the authenticity of such a high offer from Netflix.
Regardless of where people land on the issue, one thing is clear: Peller’s bold stance has reignited conversations around boundaries in relationships, creative freedom, and the price of fame.
