“I Do Everything a Two-Legged Person Can” — Jigan Babaoja Opens Up on Overcoming Body Shaming with Confidence and Strength

Nollywood comic actor Abimbola Kazeem, better known as Jigan Babaoja, is not only known for his humour and vibrant performances on screen but also for his inspiring resilience and unshakable self-confidence in the face of years of body shaming.

In a heartfelt interview on Oyinmomo TV, the actor shared how he has refused to let physical difference define his identity or limit his abilities. Speaking candidly, Jigan said he doesn’t see himself as physically challenged — not because he’s in denial, but because he has always lived life on his own terms, physically active and mentally tough.

“I don’t know if I have an injury on my leg,” he said. “The only time I remember I’m living with a disability is when I look in the mirror.”

From as early as age eight, Jigan said he developed a strong mindset to combat mockery from peers and strangers. Rather than retreat, he chose to rise above cruel comments, finding strength in self-acceptance and determination to prove doubters wrong.

“I can run, I can jump, I can play football — there’s nothing I can’t do,” he asserted. “Even when it comes to sex, I perform better than a two-legged man. I like to do all those hard things.”

His bold statement wasn’t just about physical ability; it was a message of empowerment to others who may be struggling with body image or disability.

Now, a voice of encouragement, Jigan urged people living with disabilities to embrace their uniqueness and not let societal perceptions define their worth.

“I’ve taken those things off my mind for a long time,” he said. “Your strength isn’t in your limbs — it’s in your mindset.”

Jigan Babaoja’s story is a powerful reminder that strength is not always physical. It’s also in how we see ourselves, and how we rise above what others see. In an industry — and a society — where physical perfection is often celebrated, his story is a refreshing testament to inner power, confidence, and an unbreakable spirit.
