“My Love Is Not Free” — Angela Okorie Demands N1 Billion for Relationship or Marriage

Controversial Nollywood actress and singer, Angela Okorie, has sparked fresh reactions on social media after laying out her high-stakes conditions for any man hoping to date or marry her.

In a bold statement shared via her Instagram Story, the film star made it clear that love and marriage come at a steep price ₦1 billion, to be precise. She insisted that anyone serious about being with her romantically must meet this financial requirement before any relationship can begin.

Angela recalled a conversation with a close male friend who advised her to be extra cautious when it comes to relationships, especially considering the calculated intentions of people who approach public figures for personal gain.

“A male friend of mine said, ‘Angela, any guy wey go date or marry you, we go investigate am for two years before you go gree. We go to his family house, we go know him mama, we go know him papa, we go know his siblings, we go find out whether they get madness for their family.’”

According to her, the friend went further, suggesting that the man in question should even pay a daily artist’s fee just to have the privilege of speaking to her. She agreed with the sentiment, adding that many people only come close to celebrities to “blow by force.”

Angela then drove her point home with a blunt declaration:

“Before dating or marriage, you will pay a billion naira before the relationship. I don’t care if people say I’m selling my love. Yes, I am selling my love. Maka Ndi iberibe adigo too much (because there are too many foolish people now).”
