Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, recently melted hearts on social media with his humorous yet loyal response to a female fan who asked him to follow her on Instagram.
In a video that has since gone viral, the fan boldly approached the singer, saying, “I need you to follow me on Instagram.” Davido, with a playful grin, responded, “Sorry, my wife will kill me.”
When the fan persisted, insisting, “No, she’s not,” Davido laughed and added, “Haha, no, I only follow my wife. I can’t follow anyone else.”
The brief exchange has since then gone viral, with many fans praising Davido’s public display of love and loyalty to his wife, Chioma Avril Rowland.
Davido and Chioma held their traditional wedding in 2024 in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in Lagos. Their white wedding is scheduled for August 2025 in Miami, Florida, and is expected to be another grand affair.
The couple, who tragically lost their son Ifeanyi Adeleke in 2020, are now parents to a set of twins born in 2023.
Fans across social media have hailed the singer as a “loyal husband” and a “true lover,” reinforcing his image not just as a global music icon but as a family man deeply devoted to his wife and children.
