Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed excitement over a major milestone in his family, the completion of a $2 billion power plant by his father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, in Ondo State.

Taking to his Instagram story, Davido reacted with joy, writing: “Na now my life wan begin,” accompanied by laughing emojis.

According to reports, the massive 1,250-megawatt power facility, located in the Ajebamidele area of Ondo State, has been completed but has yet to commence operations as it awaits connection to the gas grid.

Dr. Adeleke, who serves as the Pro-Chancellor of Osun State University, personally funded the project to boost Nigeria’s power supply and create employment opportunities.

Once fully operational, the plant is expected to generate thousands of jobs, particularly for engineers and other skilled professionals, with estimates suggesting that over 2,000 roles will be created.
