Love Might Not Be for Me” – Tiwa Savage Drops Bombshell on Her Love Life

Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has left fans shocked after revealing she’s never truly been in love,  not even during her marriage.

In a tell-all chat with UK media personality Zeze Mills, the 44 year old hitmaker got brutally honest about her romantic history. According to Tiwa, every relationship she’s ever had was just infatuation disguised as love.

“I don’t think I’ve experienced true love apart from my son,” she admitted. “Every time I look back at all my relationships, I’m like, nah, that wasn’t love. I was just infatuated. Even when I was married, I don’t think I experienced true love.”

Fans will remember that Tiwa tied the knot with her former manager, Tunji “Teebillz” Balogun, in 2013. The marriage ended in 2018 after public drama and failed reconciliation attempts.

Now, the “Somebody’s Son” crooner says she’s beginning to accept that maybe romance isn’t in the cards for her.

“Maybe love isn’t for me because I have tried over and over again… maybe love isn’t for me this lifetime,” she said.

One thing’s for sure whether or not Tiwa finds “the one,” she’s still winning in music, style, and motherhood. And as far as she’s concerned, her son Jamil remains her one true love.
