Nigerian celebrities Funke Akindele, Tiwa Savage, and Toyin Abraham have clapped back at an online troll who made a demeaning remark about Toke Makinwa’s pregnancy reveal.
Naija News reports that on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, the media personality announced via Instagram that she is expecting her first child.
The 40 year old actress described the experience as the most important and fulfilling chapter of her life. She reflected on her hopes for the year, noting that she entered 2025 believing it would bring life-changing moments.
Expressing gratitude for what she called the “perfect timing,” Makinwa described the pregnancy as a blessing she had long awaited. Known for her work in radio, television, and brand influencing, she said motherhood would be the most significant role she has ever played.
However, under the celebratory post, a troll insinuated that the pregnancy might be fake, suggesting it could be the result of surrogacy. The comment read:
“Why do I feel it’s artificial and low-key a surrogate? However, tf I’m feeling, congratulations to her.”
The remark drew swift and sharp reactions from fellow celebrities.
Toyin Abraham fired back, writing:
“Some of you will suffer from your generation till your last generation. Egun oni kuro lori e, abasha yamayam.”
Funke Akindele also blasted the commenter with a curt:
“Oloriburuku.”
Tiwa Savage added:
“You should probably delete your comment. Please just delete.”
