Ace Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke, has clarified that he would never do anything to disrespect his colleague, Kate Henshaw, despite the controversy surrounding his recent birthday message to her.
Speaking in an interview with Pulse TV, Iyke explained that many social media users misinterpreted his post, which was meant to be unconventional rather than offensive.
According to him, the message was crafted to “shock and disrupt,” but at its core, it was simply a private form of communication between two people who have shared a close bond for over two decades.
“There is no sensitivity, no disrespect, and nothing I can ever do to dishonour her,” he said. “Kate is my sister. How many people can say they have two decades of relationship with someone who isn’t biologically related to them?”
Iyke stressed that his relationship with Henshaw is built on deep respect and mutual understanding, describing their bond as one that goes beyond industry ties.
