Afeez Owo Opens Up On Marriage Crisis With Mide Martins

Nollywood actor Afeez Owo has admitted that his marriage to fellow actress Mide Martins almost collapsed in 2014.

Rumours of their separation circulated widely at the time, although the couple publicly denied them.

Speaking in a recent interview on the YouTube podcast Behind The List, Afeez revealed that the reports were true, explaining that they had their first and only major marital crisis during that period.

He noted that while the disagreement was something they could have resolved privately, social media worsened the situation and made reconciliation more difficult.

“There was a time rumours spread that my wife and I had separated. In truth, that was the first and only serious fight we’ve ever had in our marriage. Thankfully, we reconciled and came back together. I admit I didn’t handle it well,” he said.

According to him, he angrily moved out and stayed in a hotel for two days, while Mide took to social media, claiming he had abandoned her and their children.

“But by God’s grace, we overcame it,” the actor added.
