Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has opened up about her delivery experience, revealing how her plans to glam up and create content for the special moment were cut short by reality.
Naija News reports that Priscilla, who recently welcomed her first child with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, disclosed that she initially wanted to dress up and document her childbirth journey. However, labour contractions struck earlier than expected, forcing her to rush to the hospital at 3 a.m.
Sharing her story, the new mum wrote:
“We had to rush to the hospital at 3am! Contractions isn’t a joke, all plans to slay at the hospital and create content were cancelled. Me: Rakeem, your due date is the same as Papa. Rakeem: Please, this woman, I want my day alone. @juma_jux sorry, my love, your son wants to shine alone.”
The baby boy, named Rakeem, arrived before his due date, which was initially set to coincide with his father’s birthday.
Priscilla and Juma, who tied the knot earlier this year in a six-part wedding ceremony across Tanzania and Nigeria, announced their pregnancy in July. They later celebrated with a baby shower in Canada on July 27, attended by family, friends, and celebrities, including Iyabo Ojo and actress Lola Alao.
The couple also shared pictures from their maternity shoot and hosted a gender reveal party in Tanzania, confirming they were expecting a baby boy.
