Award-winning Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has shared a heartfelt reflection on the challenges of balancing motherhood with her demanding music career.
During a recent interactive session with fans on 𝕏, formerly called Twitter, the mother of one revealed that being away from her son, Jamil Balogun, while touring and recording often leaves her emotionally strained.
Responding to a fan who asked how she manages her career alongside raising her son, the singer admitted that the sacrifice of being apart from him is one of the hardest parts of her journey as a single mother.
Tiwa, however, expressed gratitude for her son’s maturity and understanding despite his young age. She described Jamil, fondly called Jam Jam, as her biggest supporter who always reassures her whenever she has to travel for work.
“What keeps me going is how sweet and understanding my baby is,” she said. “Even though it hurts to be away from him, he knows mommy has to work, and whenever we are together, we make every moment count.”
Currently in Tokyo, Japan, Tiwa disclosed that she is combining business with pleasure, creating special memories with Jam Jam while pursuing her projects.
Her revelation offers a glimpse into the personal struggles behind the glamour of stardom, showing that even global superstars face the same sacrifices many working mothers do.
