Nigerian rapper and actor, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has revealed that he may choose not to make his marriage public when the time comes.
This comes after a set of photos recently circulated online, sparking widespread speculation that he had held a traditional marriage introduction. The images, however, were later confirmed to be from a marriage-themed photoshoot and not an actual wedding.
The viral posts stirred mixed reactions, with some fans accusing the rapper of deliberately misleading the public. Addressing the controversy in a video shared on his Instagram page, Falz noted that people often make premature assumptions about his private life.
“One of the funniest things is that since the big reveal and everyone found out I’m not actually married, a lot of people have been saying this is a case of the boy who cried wolf. When I actually get married, nobody is going to care,” he said.
He further stressed that his marital decisions are personal and may not necessarily be for public consumption.
“It’s bold of you to assume that I wish for you to be in the marriage with me. It’s bold of you to assume that if I’m actually getting married, I will share it. But you never know, I might be so in love and just feel like I want the world to know. Best of luck and stay tuned. Thanks and God bless,” Falz added.
