Ace Nollywood actress, Rose Odika, has cautioned women against enduring toxic marriages, stressing that such unions are not worth the sacrifice.
Speaking on the Talk To B podcast, Odika opened up about her own failed marriage, revealing that her union faced turbulence from the very beginning. She disclosed that she battled infertility for the first five years, which placed immense pressure on her relationship.
According to the veteran actress, her then-husband’s intolerance for her acting career worsened the situation, eventually leading to their separation.
“Children were not coming. I did not get pregnant for the first five years. My baby was just one year and two months old when we finally separated. That’s the only child I have,” she recounted.
Odika, who hails from Delta State, emphasised that her career as an actress is non-negotiable, and any man who marries her must accept that reality.
“A man who met you as an actor should marry you as an actor. If he cannot stay with it, then he should go. No need for a toxic marriage, it is not worth your life,” she said firmly.
