Veteran Nollywood actor, Yemi Solade, has revealed why he stopped attending church services over a decade ago.
Speaking on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Solade said he walked away in 2013 after a pastor told him to stop accepting movie roles on Sundays.
The actor explained that the demand clashed with his career and made him question the balance between his religious beliefs and personal life.
He added that since leaving, his life has remained peaceful and productive, contrary to the belief that one’s life would crumble without church.
“If you see me in church, it’s probably because we’re filming,” Solade said, noting that church committees and constant obligations once interfered with his work and family time.
