The first runner-up of the Big Brother Naija season 10 has come out to debunk claims that regional bias influenced the outcome of the reality show.
Toff Notch recalls that an aide to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, accused the organisers of BBNaija of rigging the show.
He made the statement in a post via X, saying that the organizers of the shows didn’t want another Delta state contestant to win after Kellyrae who hails from the same region won the previous season.
According to him, Dede deserved to be the winner of the season because she made everyone proud. He also threatened legal action against the show organisers, adding that voting was rigged.
Responding at the prize presentation ceremony held on Tuesday at MultiChoice Nigeria’s office in Lagos, Dede dismissed the claim, insisting that Imisi’s victory was well deserved.
She said, “I don’t think it had anything to do with region. It’s about votes she got the highest votes, and she won. So, she deserves it.”
