Adesua Etomi opens up on near death  surgery

Nigerian actress Adesua Etomi- Wellington opened up on an unexpected surgery she had in the United Kingdom during a ministry trip with her husband and children.

She shared the near death experience which took place in June on her page on Instagram, acknowledging it as one of the toughest moments in her life adding that the surgery itself was not as scary as the situation that led to it.

According to her, the incident took place while they were in the UK for two speaking engagements in London and Manchester. She reflected that if even a single event had gone differently that day, she might not have survived.

The actress expressed deep gratitude to God, saying she could trace His presence through every moment of the ordeal.

She wrote: “Long read, but please stay with me. I could have lost my life in June of this year. I went through a horrific incident that landed me in unplanned surgery. The surgery was ironically the least dramatic part of what I went through. I was in the UK with my husband and sons (sons? I have two sons). We were there to serve God. We had two speaking engagements. One in London and the other in Manchester.

If even one single detail of that day were different, I wouldn’t be here today. I shudder when I think about it… I have become even more aware of the goodness and presence of God. Like a map, I can literally look back over that day and trace how His hands were all over that situation. There is nothing anyone can tell me, God is real!

“Let’s be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I will never take another day for granted. Neither should you.”
