Nollywood actor, Daniel Etim-Effiong, has paid a courtesy visit to veteran actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, to seek his blessings ahead of the nationwide release of his new film.
During the visit, Etim-Effiong presented a gift box to the seasoned actor as a token of appreciation for his mentorship and continuous support for younger colleagues in the Nigerian film industry.
In a video capturing the encounter, Etim-Effiong was seen expressing admiration for Kanayo’s influence in the industry. “Chief, good afternoon, sir. My film is coming out soon. I have seen many videos of you helping people. I don’t know what you help them do, but their careers and businesses always flourish,” he said.
Responding with humour, Kanayo asked, “It comes at a cost. What are you willing to offer?”
When Etim-Effiong replied that he had already brought a gift box, Kanayo advised him that true sacrifice lies in dedication and hard work.
“You have to make some sacrifices,” Kanayo said. When Etim playfully asked, “Who will I sacrifice?” the veteran actor responded, “You will sacrifice your time and energy. You’re already successful. I bless you.”
The exchange, which has since gone viral, drew admiration from fans who praised both actors for their humility and mutual respect, describing the moment as a symbolic passing of wisdom from one generation of Nollywood stars to the next.
