Singer Waje announces her engagement

The Nigerian singer Waje, whose name is Aituaje Iruobe, says she is engaged.

Although she didn’t disclose to who, she shared the good news during an interview with Hip Tv Lagos

“I am actually engaged,” she said without giving further details about her engagement.

The single mother had earlier said at an interview with the honest bunch that she cannot marry an unsuccessful man, her reason being that age is not on her side and can’t be patient with a struggling man.

She also disclosed that the father of her daughter denied responsibility and abandoned her after getting her pregnant as a teenager.

Waje came into the limelight with the song Do Me by the twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye, but was not officially recognised for it.
