TikTok content creator Peller, whose name is Habeeb Hamzat has come out to say that his earnings cannot be affected by the ban on live-streaming on TikTok as he has other sources of income.

He said this in a video shared on Monday explaining that his income is not limited to TikTok gifts, as he earns from brand endorsements that reach millions of naira.

He further went on to say that TikTok remains a strong platform for young creators to grow quickly online, compared to other social media sites.

He warned that small creators who rely on the nighttime LIVE sessions for exposure and earnings may be more affected by the restriction.

“People are expecting me to be crying after TikTok banned live in Nigeria, thinking I’ll go hungry. I’m an ambassador to numerous brands, and none of my endorsements is less than N40 million.

“Many people will grow on TikTok. You can’t grow on Instagram the same way. Before you make it there, you will post plenty… TikTok is easier to grow on.” he said

TikTok informed eligible Nigerian users about the restriction through an in-app notice on Sunday at midnight.

The update stops users from hosting or watching livestreams during late hours as the platform reviews content and safety measures.
