Nigerian rapper Oladips whose full name is Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji admits and apologizes to his former label boss Reminisce through his new track Iba Paris 26.
Toff Notch recalls that the relationship between the rapper and his boss went sour in 2019 when Oladips came out to say that life was tough for him while still signed to the label, despite having songs that were doing well. His attempt to leave the record label was unsuccessful and as such made the relationship worse.
Oladips removed all traces of the label from his online pages and released songs that many listeners saw as messages aimed at Reminisce.
On the other hand, Reminisce avoided public drama, although fans still sensed tension.
In 2022, lyrics from Reminisce, which seemed targeted at the rapper, opened the matter a fresh as Oladips then replied through music, and the matter continued to drag on, becoming one of the longest-running disputes in Nigerian hip-hop.
