“Nobody seems to be bothered about what’s happening to the common man” – Pete Edochie
Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie says people interested in politics are not bothered about the common man but to enjoy power.
He said this during an interview on Africa Independent Television, where he opened up on the amount he spends daily to maintain electricity in his house.
According to the 78-yrs old actor, he spends 40,000 as he has to rely on different sources of electricity to meet his daily needs.
In addition to that, he also spends N20,000 on diesel to run his generator, while another N10,000 is used to buy petrol for a second generator.
Altogether, the daily spending on electricity in his household reaches N40,000.
The actor went further to say that the challenges Nigerians face because of unstable electricity bother him especially when many citizens are struggling with the same problem across the country.
This made him speak up on people seeking political interest but has no interest in solving the everyday difficulties faced by average Nigerians.
“It disturbs me a big deal. Then I listen to people who are only interested in getting into politics and enjoying power. Nobody seems to be bothered about what’s happening to the common man,” Pete Edochie said.
