Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has reacted after facing online criticism when a gym photo of her surfaced, sparking debates about appearance and fitness standards.
The actress clarified that her gym visits are aimed at maintaining health and fitness, not impressing anyone with her looks.
She admitted that she initially considered clapping back at critics but was encouraged to remain calm after seeing supportive comments. Nkechi added that she has left the matter of the person who took and shared the photo to divine judgment, choosing not to retaliate.
Emphasising her confidence, she wrote on her Instagram story Thursday night:
“I wanted to react, then I read the comments. You really cannot disgrace a woman’s clothes with so much grace. And to you who took that picture, I leave you in the hands of God; He will judge you accordingly.
Nkechi is trying to stay healthy and fit in the gym is a topic. Lmao. With my big belly with pride. Una go dey alright for real.”
The actress reaffirmed that her priority remains her health, expressing pride in her body despite the negativity.
