Nigeria music star Tems whose full name is Temilade Openiyi has declared her love for Wizkid but his fans be “moving mad”
This was said on her Instagram story were she said her contribution to his global hit song Essence needs proper recognition.
She also pointed out that that while the song has impacted millions, her role as a songwriter should not be overlooked.
“Essence,” released in 2020 by Wizkid featuring Tems, became a worldwide anthem and one of the biggest African songs to enter international charts.
Tems says her message is not directed to Wizkid but his fanbase that sometimes neglects her contribution.
She wrote: “They keep saying Essence changed lives true, but let’s not forget who penned it. Love Wiz, but his fans be moving mad sometimes.”
