Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Mary Remmy Njoku, has shown support for her colleague, Regina Daniels, following the latter’s emotional outburst about her strained relationship with her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko.
Regina had earlier taken to social media in tears, alleging that Ned was making efforts to keep her brother detained. Her plea for help stirred mixed reactions online, with some social media users blaming her for flaunting her husband’s wealth in the past.
Reacting in a heartfelt video shared via her Instagram Story, Njoku expressed disappointment over how people often ridicule others in pain. She lamented that many women avoid speaking about their struggles due to fear of being mocked.
In a separate Instagram post, the mother of two revealed that watching Regina’s emotional video moved her to tears. She noted that Nigerians had practically watched Regina grow up on screen from a child actor into a wife and mother, making the situation even more painful to witness.
Njoku wrote, “Dear Regina, watching your video this morning brought tears to my eyes. I practically watched you grow. In fact, all of Nigeria did. From a child into the woman you are today. And seeing that woman cry out for help on social media truly breaks my heart. I’ve read some of the comments online, and I’m appalled.”
