The founder of Mountain of Liberty and Miracle Ministry, Chris Okafor says he apologized to Nollywood actress Doris Ogala under public pressure.
He said this during a recent church service where Okafor stated that he has decided to retract his apology to Ogala, who accused him of being in a seven year secret relationship with her.
He said,“You lose a fight to win a war. I was under immense pressure from certain people around me, saying I should do different things. I said that what I am being asked to do is like accepting what I did not do.
Firstly, the reason why I apologized was that the fathers of faith were being dragged, and I did not want them to be dragged, Pastor Matthew and Bishop Abioye.
There is no single apology to that person. There is no apology for what I did not do or for someone I have not met face to face. I knelt down because of those fathers, not because of any Jezebel anywhere.” Making it known that the reason for his apology is to protect the name of certain church elders that would be dragged into the controversy.
The cleric said he is now relying on the legal process to resolve the dispute.
Toff Notch recalls Nollywood actress Doris Ogala calling out Pastor Chris for getting engaged to another woman after being in a relationship with her since 2017.
She also accused the pastor of improper relationships with some women she described as members of his church choir.
She questioned his character and claimed he shared disturbing personal materials involving his family after his children confronted him over his actions at home.
